e4shieldtm technology

e4shieldtm technology was created during the COVID crisis thanks to the activities of the ELT Group which decided to study the use of electromagnetic fields in order to inactivate viruses. Based on research by Taiwanese scientists published in the Nature Scientific Report, the company achieved early results by testing different frequencies of electromagnetic waves initially on COVID and then on other Corona Viruses.

After two years of research, e4shieldtm technology was created, capable of inactivating viruses present in the air (transported in bioaerosols) and rendering them harmless. The technology, which has an Italian patent, does not use chemical agents or filter materials, but is based on the transmission of microwaves that, at a specific combination of frequency and power, act on the balance between positive charges inside the virus and negative charges present in the capsid (outer shell). This gives rise to a “resonance” phenomenon that destroys the external envelope of the virus, effectively inhibiting the power of spreading and transmission from one individual to another.

e4shieldtm is more than 90% effective and has an almost instantaneous sanitizing action that does not require the evacuation of environments because it is harmless to humans and animals.

This innovative technology has undergone numerous validations in a range of different scientific laboratories. To be precise, e4shield has been subjected to rigorous scientific tests and authentication by the Celio Military Hospital, the independent ViroStatics institute and two studies published in the journals “Viruses” and the “European Society of Medicine” (Source: Esmed.org), an association of doctors, researchers and professionals from all over the world united by the goal of promoting health globally.

Furthermore, it was the subject of a test campaign at the University of Milan (Italy) Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences, during which a bioaerosol system was recreated in a controlled laboratory environment in which SARS-CoV-2 viruses and those representing seasonal influenza (H1N1) were exposed to radiation generated by the e4shield device, which exploits the SRET (Structure Resonant Energy Transfer) phenomenology. The results obtained confirm those already found in previous test campaigns, i.e. a replicable efficacy of close to 90%.

The JRC – HERA technological prospective study carried out by the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) includes technology which is among that currently capable of guaranteeing an increase in air quality in indoor environments.

The demand for e4life to launch devices for protection from viruses present in the air, in an already crowded market, arises from the existence of a number of limitations found in existing sanitization systems. The first of these is size, which often represents a limit in terms of transport and use, while not guaranteeing protection in every context. Secondly, action and effectiveness timescales are often conditioned by external factors such as the maintenance status of filters for example. Finally there is the need to evacuate any area to be treated during the sanitization process.

One of the distinctive features of e4shieldtm technology is its targeted action which allows it to be calibrated and directed against specific pathogens. Its current effectiveness against human respiratory viruses has been certified against Covid, including variants, and seasonal flu, but its technology is constantly evolving and adaptable to deal with an ever-increasing number of viruses and, in the near future, also bacteria. This is the context in which e4life has launched two versatile and elegantly designed solutions (against human respiratory viruses): e4life personal (portable version) and e4life ambient (fixed version).

“E4life personal” is lightweight, compact (100 gr per 8.5 cm) and designed to be effective in any situation. The device creates a security, or life cloud capable of inactivating viruses by generating a 3 meter diameter bubble around the person wearing the device. It is activated with a single click and has a battery life of up to 8 hours. It can be recharged from a normal USB-C socket and also has a wireless Bluetooth interface.

“E4life ambient” instead is a device designed to be effective against viruses in any type of space whether closed or open, ensuring a safety area of approximately 50m2. Ideal for meeting rooms, offices, public places or homes, it can be used individually or arranged in series to protect larger spaces. e4life ambient can also be recharged via an ordinary USB-C socket and, if not connected to the mains, has a guaranteed battery life of 4 hours. It also has a wireless Bluetooth interface for both data and user-side control functions.

e4life FARM, the new device that inactivates avian flu and swine flu

e4life has also recently launched e4life FARM onto the market. This device is dedicated to livestock farms and is designed to combat viral diseases such as avian flu and swine flu, which represent a threat to chicken, turkey and pig farms. The device is based on the same e4shield technology, which emits electromagnetic waves at specific frequencies that are effective against this new family of viruses. As with devices intended for human use, e4life FARM also neutralizes over 90% of the viral load present in the air, including droplets up to 10 microns and does so virtually in real time thanks to the speed of light at which the waves spread.
